FARKË · FARKË E VOGËL · THE LAKE
Farkë and Farkë e Vogël are the land of villas and low houses with gardens, some looking over the lake. Here the pergola is not mounted on a façade but on the ground: anchoring, the wind that comes down from Dajti and the lake humidity decide how it must be designed.

The local challenge
Hill wind and lake humidity

Terraces here are large and free of neighbouring blocks: the space allows freestanding pergolas of 20–40 m² in the middle of the garden, by the pool or the barbecue area. Since the structure stands on its own, anchoring the footings is the most important part of the job — the damp ground near the lake needs proper foundations, not anchors into paving slabs.
The afternoon wind coming down from Dajti and the area’s humidity call for oven-painted materials and stainless screws; otherwise rust spots appear after two winters. In Farkë we include this as standard, not as an extra.
AREA LOGISTICS
Four things that decide whether your Farkë pergola lasts twenty years or five — all assessed at the free visit.
Near the lake the soil is damp: anchor points need proper footings, not just bolts into paving.
Profile dimensions are sized to the exposure — a pergola standing open in a garden is not the same as one tight against a wall.
The pergola’s posts channel water to set points — we aim it at the drain, not at the neighbour’s yard.
Oven-baked paint and stainless screws as standard: rust arrives here within a few winters otherwise.
The pergola goes where the garden’s owners want it, not where a wall allows it — a freestanding structure makes that possible.
The free visit here starts from the ground: we look at where the anchor points land, how rainwater drains and which direction the afternoon wind comes from. A bioclimatic pergola starts from €300/m², a pergola awning from €1,500 — the quote includes the foundation works too, with no later additions.
The distance from the workshop is about 25 minutes, so Farkë installations are done with a full crew, finishing in 1–2 days. To have the garden ready for summer, order by March–April.
